Japanese Army Officers Shin Gun-to katana with leather covered wooden saya (scabbard).The tang is signed to both sides with seki stamp -KANE-TSUGU SAKU and dated Showa 16 year = 1941. This is an important blade by an army approved smith 1m yen Grade RGT, hand forged GENDAI ,3rd seat in 1941 exhibition and studied under KANE-TOMO & SHIGE-TSUGU. Worth a read up on.  read more
